2021-22 Session 2: November 30 – February 17 from 3:15 – 4:30 pm on school days

Registration will be open November 1-12. No late registrations will be accepted.

Please register for activities offered by DaVinci Academy faculty and staff using the School Store in Infinite Campus. (Instructions for Activity Registration) Activity fees are due at the time of registration.

If an activity becomes full, it will no longer be available to purchase within the school store. To join the waitlist for an activity, contact Julie Kresh.

Activities offered by external vendors will need to be registered for and paid for through them. Note: Taekwondo is an OFF-SITE external vendor class.

*NOTE: DaVinci Academy DOES NOT offer bus transportation after activities. All children must be picked up from school promptly after their activity has ended.

 

The application for Educational Benefits is for more than lunches. By completing the application, students may receive reduced fees for activities and DaVinci Den. For families who would like to apply for Educational Benefits, the form is now available online through Infinite Campus. Families will need to complete an application for each school year, as they do not carry over from year to year. Paper copies are also available in the school office.

Description: Having a bullet journal allows you to easily track things in a highly visual and organized format. These journals also allow you to explore your creative side. Description: Calling all dancers! The dance program is established to help students learn basic, intermediate, and advanced forms of dance, work with a team, and build confidence! Description: DaVinci News Club is a place for all things video production!
We will write and report on all the latest news about DaVinci Academy and our local area. There will be opportunities for acting, reporting, writing, filming, editing, and more with green screens, video cameras, and microphones to use for the club. No prior experience necessary.

Description: Learn engineering techniques and integrate them with the design process to build new things with confidence. Participants will build a beyblade battle, sumo wrestlers, marble game, and others related to the theme Toys/Arcade. Description: Participants will begin to explore the world of robotics as they build simple models that teach the fundamentals of robotic design. Whether learning about sensors or discovering ways that gears and pulleys create movement your child is sure to have a great time. Description: Have you ever wanted to explore the creatures of the deep, blue sea? Have you ever wondered what it’s like to swim among the fish, dive with the dolphins, and sing among the whales? You will have the opportunity to learn about the wide variety of sea life and their habitats, what they eat, and their adaptations that make them unique. We will even create projects reflecting our Sea Creature of the Week. So come on in, the water’s fine!

Description:

Quiz bowl is a game in which two teams compete head-to-head to answer questions from all areas of knowledge, including history, literature, science, fine arts, current events, popular culture, sports, and more.

Students will have an option to participate in Saturday competitions, but this will not be a required part of participation in the after school activity.

Upon completion of this class, your child will leave with their very own “toolbox” of self calming techniques learned from yoga, art, sound, make & take essential oils, make & take calming bottles, and more!

Activity: Rock and Roll Club

Description: Learn how to melt faces with rock & roll guitar playing. The class is run like a workshop with kids of different ability levels from beginner to intermediate learning rock riffs and songs on the guitar. Students can use acoustic guitars provided by the school or bring a guitar or guitar/amp combo from home.

Description:

Introduction to programming in Python uses fun and engaging single-lesson projects to teach students foundational coding concepts.

In this course, students will complete a series of mini-projects designed to teach the basic syntax, structure, and process of writing programs in Python.

Description: In this fun and creative class, students will learn to create 3D designs on the Tinkercad online designing platform. 3D designing is a STEAM activity, promotes spatial awareness and develops concepts on geometry and architecture. Projects include a key chain, your own avatar, belt buckle, design your dream room and more. Students will have the opportunity to print one project.

Description: This class helps participants to be engineers. Students build robots to solve real-world problems and life hacks. Implement robotics solutions to our day-to-day needs and provide smart solutions through coding.

● Fitness tracker such as warm-up, squat jumps, watch your steps

Description: Space aliens and Manga are coming to DaVinci! There will be big aliens and little aliens, cute manga inspired characters, accessories, and costumes. These amazing cartoon characters will tap into everyone’s imagination while learning to draw. Be a part of something fun!

Ski Club

Eight Friday nights at Trollhaugen for 6th-8th graders, 5th if parent skis along.

  • January 4, 11, 18, 25
  • February 1, 8, 15, 22

The bus will leave DaVinci Academy at 2:30 p.m. and return to DaVinci Academy at 9:00-9:15 p.m.

**Skis are not permitted on the Kottke’s buses so if your child has equipment you will need to transport it.

Return policy for Ski Club. – In the event that ski club is cancelled due to cold weather.
