2021-22 Session 3: February 28 – May 6 from 3:15 – 4:30 pm on school days

Registration will be open February 2-16. No late registrations will be accepted.

Please register for activities offered by DaVinci Academy faculty and staff using the School Store in Infinite Campus. (Instructions for Activity Registration) Activity fees are due at the time of registration.

If an activity becomes full, it will no longer be available to purchase within the school store. To join the waitlist for an activity, contact Julie Kresh.

Activities offered by external vendors will need to be registered for and paid for through them. Note: Taekwondo is an OFF-SITE external vendor class.

*NOTE: DaVinci Academy DOES NOT offer bus transportation after activities. All children must be picked up from school promptly after their activity has ended.

 

The application for Educational Benefits is for more than lunches. By completing the application, students may receive reduced fees for activities and DaVinci Den. For families who would like to apply for Educational Benefits, the form is now available online through Infinite Campus. Families will need to complete an application for each school year, as they do not carry over from year to year. Paper copies are also available in the school office.

Activity: Annie Jr.

Cost: $140 (rehearsal schedule provided to cast and crew)
Description: Come audition for the spring musical, Annie Jr! Dance, sing, act and have a blast with Ms. Tinawi and Mr. Hanson!

Auditions will be held on Monday, February 7 and Tuesday, February 8. Interested students must attend both auditions dates. Callbacks, if necessary, will be held on Wednesday, February 9.

Tech leads are expected to attend all rehearsals, with an associated fee of $140. Tech crew will have an abbreviated rehearsal schedule in April and May only, with an associated fee of $60.

Once casting is complete, students who receive a part in either the cast or crew will have the associated fee added to their Infinite Campus account.

Description: Do you enjoy playing classic backyard games like tag, hide-and-seek, or soccer with your neighborhood friends? Do you like learning new games that you can play at home or at recess? In this after school activity, we will be playing all kinds outdoor games that can be enjoyed with friends and family! This activity will be held indoors until the weather warms up.

Description: The students will learn how to draw kawaii (cute) Japanese-inspired chibi characters. Chibi is a Japanese word meaning short or small. Description: The city is the heart of a community. Campers will build the city in which you want to live in through imagination and creativity. Through engineering and coding, students will build a trolly, crane, loading truck, forklift and more.

Description: For those who aren’t familiar, a bullet journal is a journal that you use to create lists, calendars, draw, track, and write down brainstorming notes all in one place. Essentially a bullet journal is a customized planner/sketchbook to help you capture notes, thoughts and inspiration. Cool bullet journals can help you boost creativity. So the bullet journal provides an immediate creative outlet and helps spur long-term creative thought. In this class students will receive a bullet journal, pens, and highlighters and learn the basics of bullet journaling and how to creative different pages for organization, creativity, and tracking!

Description: Calling all pom-pom dancers! The dance program is established to help students learn basic, intermediate, and advanced forms of dance, work with a team, and build confidence! On the team students will experience movement, new skill sets, and learn choreography to dances. Never danced before? No problem, we will all learn together!

Description: Do you enjoy doing science experiments? Are you curious about how different things work? You will have the opportunity to build, create and learn about a variety of scientific ideas by participating in engaging, interactive, hands-on activities. We will put our scientist hats on to practice our teamwork, problem solving, and communication skills as we embark upon different science challenges.

Description: This class is a slick combination of math and storytelling. In this session, we will play table top games, including dungeons and dragons, working together to resolve conflict within the theater of the mind. Description:

Introduction to programming in Python uses fun and engaging single-lesson projects to teach students foundational coding concepts.

In this course, students will complete a series of mini-projects designed to teach the basic syntax, structure, and process of writing programs in Python.

Description: Build your favorite toys using Lego WeDo robotics and code to make them come to life. Students will build Beyblade Battle Top, Spirograph, sumo wrestlers, arcade game, spinning top and more.

Ski Club

Eight Friday nights at Trollhaugen for 6th-8th graders, 5th if parent skis along.

  • January 4, 11, 18, 25
  • February 1, 8, 15, 22

The bus will leave DaVinci Academy at 2:30 p.m. and return to DaVinci Academy at 9:00-9:15 p.m.

**Skis are not permitted on the Kottke’s buses so if your child has equipment you will need to transport it.

Return policy for Ski Club. – In the event that ski club is cancelled due to cold weather.
