Jack Shields
Middle School Principal
Mr. Jack Shields joined the DaVinci community in July 2018 to serve as the Dean of Students. Mr. Shields has a BA in Elementary Education from Northwestern College of Iowa, MS in Education Technology from Minnesota State University, Mankato, and is completing his M.Ed in Educational Leadership from Dordt College.
Mr. Shields has extensive experience working with students in grades K-8, having taught in grades 4-8 and serving as a principal of a local K-8 school for the last 18 years. Jack enjoys partnering with parents to help students grow in their education. In his free time, Mr. Shields enjoys spending time with his family, biking, and fishing.
After researching the school I found that it is truly student-centered and strives for excellence in all areas. I also appreciate the kindness of the faculty and students toward each other as well as guests. I am excited to be part of this community and help it continue to fulfill it's mission and vision.
