Instrumental Music Teacher
Michael Hebert is the Instrumental Music Educator at DaVinci Academy, where he directs three bands, three orchestras, jazz band, chamber orchestra, and teaches middle school general music. He served on the Board of Directors as Vice President and Policy committee chair. Mr. Hebert has appeared as a guest conductor and clinician with ensembles in Minnesota and continues to be an active trumpet player in the twin cities. He is a member of the Tri-State Judges Association where he judges marching band competitions is Minnesota, Iowa, Wisconsin, and South Dakota. He is a strong advocate for music education, with memberships in the National Association for Music Education, Minnesota Band Directors Association, American String Teachers Association, and Minnesota Music Educators Association.
Mr. Hebert completed his Bachelor's Degree at the University of Northwestern (St. Paul) where he studied trumpet under Phil Norris and Gary Bordner. He served as the band president and student conductor while studying conducting under Monte Mumford.
Mr. Hebert is passionate about being curious. He strives to practice what he teaches by being constantly curious in order to find and understand the best aspects for all walks of life.
