DaVinci Academy utilizes a one-hour late start each Monday for all students throughout the school year. The school day begins at 9:00 am each Monday.
This is part of an effort to facilitate a weekly time for teachers to meet in grade-level and/or subject-area groups to provide a structures setting to dialogue on improving teaching and learning for all students, disaggregating assessment data, instructional strategies, common pacing, etc.
Monday morning bus routes will be adjusted so that students are picked up approximately one hour later at the students’ regularly assigned pick-up location. There will be no changes to bus pick-up locations.
If you have questions about transportation on late-start Mondays, please email Cassandra Anderson or call (763) 754-6577
Before School Care
A before-school care option will be available for families needing to continue to drop students off at school by 7:30. There will be a charge of $10.00 per child per Monday with a discount available to families who qualify for the Free and Reduced Educational Benefits program.
DaVinci Academy is using an online platform for late start Sunrise Program registration. To access this, parents will log into your Infinite Campus parent portal and shop for the late start Sunrise Program care dates you need in the School Store.
- Cost: $10 per child, per Monday (eligible for educational benefits, applied in the school store)
- Note: If the cost of this program is a hardship for you, please complete this Google form
Student Arrival Time
Parents who normally drop off students at school will be able to drop off students one hour later, no earlier than 8:30 am. Students who ride the bus will arrive shortly before school is open on Mondays. Parents who must drop off students before 8:30 a.m. may register for the before-school care program.
Students that are not registered for before-school care will be allowed into the building at 8:30 AM and education wing doors will open at 8:40 AM. This mirrors the drop-off procedure on a regular school day.
Daily instructional schedules will be adjusted accordingly. Academic programming on late-start days will include all core subjects and any rotating specials (music, art, physical education, etc)
