Lancer Catering provides meals for DaVinci Academy’s hot lunch program. To participate in the program, families must place their orders prior to the start of every month. Monthly pre-ordering ensures that we have enough food for all students who have ordered a hot meal or milk.
 

How to pre-order lunch or milk:

DaVinci Academy families are required to pre-order and pre-pay for student lunches on a monthly basis.  Orders are placed electronically by each family through MenuOrder.com, our online lunch order program. You can then print one family calendar to post at home.  Please note, MenuOrder.com may not work on "touch" devices such as tablets or smart phones.

A lunch order email will be sent out when the ordering period is opened for the month and will indicate when the order period will close.  To place a lunch order, use the email link to go directly to your family order page.   Once in MenuOrder.com:

1. select the ? icon for additional directions,
2. click "next" for the current menu,
3. select the child's first name to access their order form, and
4. be sure to hit the SUBMIT button (bottom right corner) when you are ready to save each child’s order.

Please note this is an online ordering program only, not a payment system. You are still required to submit payment for lunches to the school office.  If you are ordering for more than one student, we would appreciate if you would send your payment along with a copy of your family order calendar or indicate the payment breakdown on your check (e.g. Lunch: John $12.50, Jane $31.50).

If you need to complete a paper copy of the form instead, you can obtain one from the school office.   If you have any problems entering your order, please contact Lee Swearingen 763/754-6577 or LSwearingen@davincicharterschool.org or feel free to submit a paper copy of this menu. 

Important reminders

1.        All orders are due by end of the school day on the due date indicated. 
2.        The price for an additional slice of pizza or second servings (grade 6-8 only) is $1.50 per slice for ALL students, even if they are approved for free or reduced-price meals.
3.        You cannot pre-order lunch for your child if you maintain a negative balance in their account. Please submit all required funds to bring balance up to date with the order form(s).
4.        All students who want a school lunch must submit an order form even if you are not required to deposit money into their lunch account at that time.

Milk is included with the cost of every pre-paid lunch order. You can also place additional funds in your child's lunch account to cover milk-only purchases for days your student brings lunch from home.  You do not need to pre-order milk-only purchases through MenuOrder.com; simply make sure that you place the needed funds in their lunch account.

Costs for 2015-2016 school lunches are as follows: Lunch, including milk: $3.50; Milk only: $.50; Extra slice of pizza on pizza day: $1.50 for all students, Second servings (grades 6-8 only): $1.50; Vegetarian meal surcharge: To be determined.

Checks may be written to DaVinci Academy. If you have more than one student you may send one check for all of your students.   

What if my child forgot their lunch at home?

If a student has not submitted a lunch order or has forgotten to bring a lunch from home, he/she will be given an alternate lunch of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich, fruit and milk. The cost of this lunch is $3.50.
 

How do I apply for free or reduced-price lunches?

To apply for Educational Benefits that provide for free or reduced-price lunches for families that qualify, please contact Mrs. Lee Swearingen in the school office or print the application and submit it to the school office to Mrs. Swearingen's attention.
