Mrs. Maulik chose to work at DaVinci Academy for many reasons! With a background in the arts, she experienced first hand the influence the arts can have in the academic success of learners. Science helps learners develop a love and appreciation of inquiry as well as an understanding of the world around them. Integrating both into all areas of instruction supports and encourages children to think critically, engage in learning in a creative way, and encourages them to try new ideas.

Lauren Metty

Lauren Metty has been teaching Kindergarten at DaVinci Academy since 2017. She graduated summa cum laude from Bemidji State University with an Elementary Education degree and Pre-Primary endorsement in 2015. Lauren lives in Coon Rapids with her husband and two sons, their two dogs, and a cat. She has two sons who attend DaVinci. My oldest is in third grade, and my youngest is in first grade. Lauren joined the DaVinci Academy Board of Directors in January 2026 and believes her role as a teacher and parent at DaVinci, provides a deep perspective, outlook, dedication, and commitment that are all extremely valuable to the board and the school community. Lauren has always been passionate about having an active role in the school that her children attend. Being a staff member at my children’s school only deepens that passion.

Lenny Ulloa Silva

Lenny Ulloa Silva is from Valparaíso, Chile, and previously served on the DaVinci Academy school board from 2018 to 2023. He studied Education and Spanish at Luther College in Iowa and earned a Master’s degree in Math Education from WGU. Lenny now works as a Spanish and Math teacher at DaVinci Academy. He has also directed and co-directed multiple plays and musicals at the school and assists teachers with technology needs, ultimately providing better support to all students. Lenny is excited to be back on the board and is ready to continue supporting the entire DaVinci community.

Vivek Sinha is a senior business and analytics leader with over 20 years of experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives across global organizations. He currently serves in a leadership role at Medtronic, where he partners with executive teams to drive data-driven decision-making, operational excellence, and enterprise-wide analytics across finance, sales, and supply chain functions. In addition to his industry leadership, Vivek is an Adjunct Professor at the University of St. Thomas, where he teaches Analytics and Business Planning, bringing real-world business experience into the classroom and helping students connect academic concepts with practical application. As a member of the DaVinci School Board, Vivek is committed to supporting innovative, student-centered education models, strong governance, and inclusive learning environments that empower both students and educators to thrive.

The School Development Committee is a team of individuals committed to spearheading the schools’ fundraising efforts. The committee develops short and long-term strategic development plans which are focused on student and school success, and which align with the school’s strategic and financial plans.

The team develops DaVinci’s “case for giving” and works together to ensure the proper management of donors and prospects.

Meeting Schedule: The School Development Committee will meet the second Thursday of the month at 3:30 PM in-person at DaVinci Academy.
