Fundraising Opportunities

DaVinci Academy participates in and sponsors a variety of fundraisers throughout the year. In addition to helping fund our school’s ongoing needs, these fundraisers are also important in promoting and building our community. We encourage all families and friends to take advantage of these opportunities!

Below are a few of the ways you can participate!


Color Run

Want to help us reach our goals to fund your students’ playground? Contact Melanie Persellin to be a parent volunteer coordinator by December 1, 2016. We need four volunteers for each grade to help coordinate and communicate classroom and school fundraising efforts for the Capital Campaign.

Give to The Max Day

Each November DaVinci Academy participates in Give to the Save the Date Give to the Max Day 2016 is Thursday November 17Max Day, and each year we are amazed by and so grateful for the generous donations from our community! 2016 donations totaled over $7,200 and contributions will go towards our new playground facilities.

Capital Campaign for the New Playground - Click Here

We are excited and proud of DaVinci Academy’s School Expansion!  As mentioned in the June, 2016 School Expansion update, the bond funds from the bond sale will be used to cover the school expansion and all vendor fees associated with the construction of the new school.  The bond funds will not cover the outdoor spaces which we hope will include a new and improved playground(s), a walking trail around our pond with fixed fitness stations, tables and benches for teachers and students, outdoor classrooms inclusive of garden boxes and reading environments, and outdoor arts and science learning spaces and opportunities including an outdoor science and art lab.  As a result we are commencing an aggressive fundraising campaign in the effort to secure the necessary funds, resources and community involvement to purchase, build, and install the outdoor equipment and facilities. ea92fc22aabc6ba631ec3aeef651ce47

The Capital Campaign has been hard at work in developing a plan for the design and implementation of innovative nature-based outdoor spaces that will offer our students numerous opportunities to develop, learn, and discover through play, nature and imagination.  Now it is time to start fundraising!

The Capital Campaign is seeking individuals who are able to manage and write grant applications in the effort to raise funds to pay for our outdoor spaces.   If you have not written grants, but have an interest in researching grant opportunities, requirements and drafting grants, please consider joining and volunteering!

The Capital Campaign is also seeking  a number of individuals who are able to manage and participate in the fundraising component of the Capital Campaign in the effort to raise funds and materials and labor from community members, businesses and parents to pay for the outdoor spaces.

Further, if you are involved in an industry that may wish to offer free or discounted materials such as lumber, tools, equipment, and other building and landscaping materials we would appreciate hearing from and working with you.

Annual Golf Tournament

DaVinci Academy’s major fundraiser is our annual Golf Tournament and Dinner. The tournament is designed to be fun for everyone, from beginner to experienced golfer. If you are unable to spend the day golfing with us, we hope you will join us for the dinner!

Easy Ways to Raise Funds for DaVinci Academy

Lands’ End has a “School Rewards Program” that provides DaVinci Academy the opportunity to benefit from any clothing purchased from their school catalog, from the school uniform section of their website, or from special kiosks in Lands’ End and Sears retail stores. The amount of the benefit ranges from 1% to 3% of total purchases by people who have identified our school as the benefit recipient. We encourage you to take a look at what Lands’ End has to offer, at www.landsend.com/schooluniforms. Merchandise includes everything from children’s uniform wear to men’s and women’s casual clothing. DaVinci Academy’s school identifying number under the Lands’ End program is 900142712. When making your purchase, please refer to this number. If you do not have it available at the time of your purchase, you can also find us under the full school name, DaVinci Academy of Arts and Science.

In addition, programs offered by General Mills, Campbell’s, Kemp’s and others are administered by our active Parent and Teachers Organization (PTO). See details about current opportunities on the PTO’s website.

Interested in Creating a Fundraising Event for the School?

The DaVinci Academy School Development Committee monitors and/or organizes all fundraising events for the school. A “fundraising event” is defined as any activity that is conducted on behalf of DaVinci Academy of Arts and Science to raise funds and/or produce tangible items (e.g. books) and/or to enhance a school activity (e.g. poinsettias for the holiday music program). A Fundraising Event Application form must be submitted for School Development Committee review prior to the event. This process will be enforced for all fundraising events. Please note that the PTO may also conduct separate fundraising efforts.
